Social Projects

International interns provide your organization for life changing experience, every organization is able to take a part in AIESEC Slovenia Exchange Program to invite an specialized student or recent postgraduate to work for your office in Slovenia. This experience will make your organization more global,cross cultural and give different perspectives to impact on society.

We provide international volunteer experiences through which young people develop themselves while empowering individuals, communities or organizations. We focus on areas and issues with the need for direct social impact and sustainable solutions.

Cultural Connecting Project

National social educational project that aims activating leadership among Slovenian youth by giving them an opportunity to familiarize with other cultures, traditions, life style, liberalize, break stereotypes about people from abroad, improve their English skills through direct communication with representatives of other countries.

What schools should provide for interns

  • Pupils/students group at school, working schedule;
  • Accomodation;
  • Food at least 2 times per working day.

AIESEC Slovenia can take care of accomodation and food if school provides pocket money, relevant for covering these costs.

For companies and NGOs

In order to develop youth with Cultural Connecting in as many schools as possible we are asking all interested organizations to help us in hosting international volunteers. Help and cooperation we may have are in next areas:

  • Accommodation (can be in flat, hotel, hostel, dormitory, host family and others);
  • Food;
  • In kind (Slovenia guide books, note books, pens with your logo and others  which international volunteer can use and which can help him/her to adapt there and feel Slovenian spirit);
  • Participation in your activities or organizing common events in order to show foreigners culture and hospitability of Slovenia.

All partnership details can be discussed for development, we are opened for new ideas and cooperation.

Duration

6-8 weeks

What we aim

  • To spread cultural awareness among young people;
  • Inspire pupils for self-discovery and development;
  • To activate leadership skills;
  • To increase level of English knowledge;
  • To familiarize school students with idea of tolerance and cultural sensitivity;
  • To broaden worldview of pupils and provide information about different countries and territories, their history, traditions, modern life.

Participation

Which organizations can participate:

Schools, NGOs, any social education organizations in Slovenia

Concept

Interns from 113+  countries will be working during 6-8 weeks at schools, providing lessons, presentations about their countries and cultures, trainings about leadership, different discussion clubs, events, learning circles, speaking clubs and other activities to spread cultural awareness and others.
